SB is a fantastically versatile product. But I know that opening its IDE
for the first time can be quite intimidating.
During a certain number of years, I've made my living as a teacher.
In 2009, I worked with Friedrich to create a guide to the SB examples and
some other hopefully useful information.
That's available in the SB IDE as "Learning SetupBuilder Part I".
At the same time, I created a very basic introductory video, meant to
complement the "Learning" file.
This was never put into general circulation.
Friedrich posted several years ago that he was planning a series of videos,
but as yet those don't seem to have materialized.
On occasion, I've sent a link for my video to someone who seemed to be
struggling getting past that initial "OMG This Looks Complicated!" reaction
to the SB IDE.
One of those folks mentioned the video in a recent thread on this NG.
Friedrich let me know that he'd like me to post a link to the video. So I'm
doing that, below.
Please bear in mind that most of you who read this newsgroup already know
the basics of SB, so you won't want to waste your time watching it.
It's just meant as a gentle introduction for complete newbies. FWIW YMMV
IMHO
Happy New Year to all!
