Hi all!

I decided some time ago to let Setupbuilder create the manifest.
So, I removed the manifest setting from my .exe - se attached.

But anyway, when I try to manifest it in Setupbuilder, i get 'File
already manifested'.

Any who knows what to look for?

Best regards

Edvard,

One thing that comes to mind is to be sure that the "Permanent" box is not
checked in the SetupBuilder Manifest statement. Then only the copy of the
file included in the installer will be manifested.

FWIW, we copy the files from the work folder into a distribution folder and
let SetupBuilder work with them from there.

It makes it easy to keep ongoing work separate from released versions (and
you can also zip the entire distribution folder and save is as the released
version name to have a backup of the files that were used to build a given
release. That has saved our bacon more than once<g>.

Does that help?

Charles

The Reason were in the C10 solution, which still included the .manifest
file.

Dear Charles!

FWIW, we copy the files from the work folder into a distribution folder
and let SetupBuilder work with them from there.

Which is exactly what I do.
Its years ago I had a Farm with pigs, but I anyway uses this way.

My problem is, that the .exe gets marked with 'Already manifested'
somewhere - That was why I included the two screendumps.
So, where can the .exe get manifested, when its not ticked as 'Manifest'
in global properties?

Best regards

Is the .MANIFEST file still in the solution?

Is the .MANIFEST file still in the solution?
Yes, and that was the reason. I have manually removed it, and it gets
the manifest now in setupbuilder.

Thanks!
