View Full Version : SB 10 Check Service Function

I have my service showing in the 'services' window but it is not
'running'.
When I issue the Check Service - Is Service Installed, should I get a 0
or 1?
If it is installed (1), I do not want to issue the Create Service
command just Start Service.
If is is not installed (0), I want to issue Create Service and then
Start Service.

Thanks, Dee

Jeff - I think I found it. My update install runs, stops my service and then runs
my service install in silent mode. The Check Service function - Is
Service Installed does not seem to work.
I get error 2 when trying to Create the service. The service is
installed but not running so I should not
issue the Create Service function but I am.
If I run my service install NOT in silent mode, the Check Service - Is
Service Running
works, I do not attempt to Create just Start me service.

Does the Check Service Function not work in Silent Mode?

Thanks, Dee

Hi Dee -

I don't know.

If you go to the command prompt and type "sc query yourservicename",
do you see info about it?
