All,

I need your help.

As you probably know, as of October 2017, a Google Chrome update plans to
reward certain websites with SSL certificates and warn users to avoid
certain websites without them. As a result, more and more websites will be
switched to https in the near future. To stay compliant, I am working on a
very important feature enhancement for the next SetupBuilder (more
information will be available soon).

We have a new test server that supports SSL, but we need access to some more
secure servers.

If you have a https server, could you please upload a small file to it and
send me the link? The file must not be accessible via http, only https !!!

Thank you for your help!!

I have been using SSL on icetips for couple of years, because of
Google's requirements. So any files there should be within the realm of
SSL only - at least any url I have tried always resolves to https://...

So you are welcome to use it if it works for you. If you go to the
download menu, there are some files there;)

Best regards,

Thank you so much :-)

BTW, are you using SB Web Update and/or the SetupBuilder "Download File
(HTTP)..." function in one of your installs? Our HTTP component can't
download files from a secure server (e.g. HTTPS through port 443). Or does
your server support both secure (port 443) and non-secure (port 80)
downloads? My goal is to support HTTP and HTTPS in the next SB update.

Currently the only installer that is using the web updater is on a
non-secure server.

We have a https://www.setupbuilder.com domain now to test the new
functionality.

I'll post more information soon.

Thanks all for your help.
