Friedrich,

we need longer variables!

lets say, hmmm, maybe 200 characters?

(Sorry, I can't attach any images anymore, dBabble always says that my quota is exceeded)

I have shortened that variable now and plowed through the script, to replace
each occurance. The very first one is
Set Variable %SERVER_SOLL_ALS_DIENST_NEUGESTARTET_WERDEN% to "0" - it was
replaced automatically without any interaction by me. Fine!

Then I searched for the others, which have still had the old name (which is no
problem for me), but when I then picked the new one from the droplist, I saw,
that both the old and the new one were listed. Well, maybe because the old one
was in use some lines below still. Anyway, I replaced all, saved, restarted SB
and the old name is now gone.

That 50 character limit is there for "performance reasons" (compiler and
runtime). But I'll see what I can do.

Well, if its for performance reasons, then I will modestly step back from my
suggestion.....

Maybe you can add a warning when I type to much? Or a hint in the dialog-menu?
So that we stumble across it before we finally compile and then have to modify
a dozend entries.

That would be okay, I think.

... or just limit the number of characters in the entry field to 50.

:-)
