Hi all,

Bit off topic, but there have been horror stories about getting code
signing certificates.

Friday my client realized that his SSL was expiring this weekend. This
is a wildcard SSL that covers his client sites that he hosts as well, so
he was in a bind. He was expecting the usual week or two on back and
forth - took several days last time.

He ordered a Comodo SSL and lo and behold - it took less than 12 hours
from the time he ordered until the certificate was installed on the
server! He was all prepared to get irritated and aggravated by this but
was very pleasantly surprised :)

Best regards,

If only signing certificates could be renewed instead of having to go
through the entire process over and OVER AND OVER AGAIN!<g>

Thankfully I only have to do it every 3 years... but except for the
first time where I had to have a Dun & Bradstreet number and a bunch of
other stuff... it seems like a renew to me. Of course now that I've said
that, next time will probably be a big PITA. ;-)
