Hi,

We have a big problem with our current installation tool (NSIS). MS Antispyware is detecting the nsisdl.dll runtime as spyware (we have this problem for months now) and a lot of our customers complaint about this problem.

Question: does SetupBuilder also have this problem? Does it rely on sb.dll files or something similar?

Thanks in advance for your quick reply (my boss hates me),
Ben

Ben,

No, SetupBuilder 5 does not have this problem. SB5 compiles native Win32 installation executables and the installer does not rely on "fixed" runtime file names (e.g. script engine, etc).

Hi Linder,

Thanks so much. All our commercial products installed with NSIS stopped working (most Spyware and Virus Scanner give a spyware or virus alarm). Your SetupBuilder 5 is a lifesaver for us.

As a side note, same problem with Innosetup. A few of our service packs are installed with Inno. McAfee is deleting every installer created with Inno now.

Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ben
