View Full Version : Launch on Exit

I am attempting to set up launch of the installed program upon installer
exit.
I am following the Help instructions to the letter, I believe - see pix,
viewed in order: Clip1 thru 4.

But it doesn't work...?

Steve,

Yes, it does not work because you execute the "Run Program..." function
AFTER your "Final" dialog has beed displayed ;-)

Move the function to, say, Line 113 and you are done.

I would have thought that would have meant that the program would run
*before* the final dialog was displayed..... but apparently not... it now
works fine

May be a good thing to add to the Help for "Launch on Exit'?

Thanks
Steve

Hmm, you added a "Launch the Demo program (on installer exit)" checkbox to
be displayed on the Finish Dialog. If the user marks the checkbox then the
program is executed. And you thought the program would be executed *before*
the Final Dialog (and this checkbox) was displayed ;-)

No I *forgot* about the checkbox - I had tried that, using another method..
didn't work.. forgot about it.
So I read the Help on Run ... saw the Launch on exit and followed that...

Two entirely and unconnected attempts on my part... neither of which worked!
<g>

Thus my suggestion re. Help is still valid ;-)
