Can SetupBuilder 5 make a web installer? I would like to create an installer that just downloads the pices needed. IMO, this would be very cool.

Thanks,
Rene

Rene,

Yes, SetupBuilder's Internet distribution technology, called iDeploy, allows you to very easily deploy and update your applications over the Internet. It offers complete control and flexibility for electronic software distribution and reduces your company's support costs. Unlike other web deployment technologies, SetupBuilder does not rely on browser plug-ins or ActiveX controls, thus freeing your users from having to endure
a multimegabyte download just to get your software.

Web Update allows you to add live Internet version updating to your program (like Symantech's LiveUpdate). You install a small client application along with your software to give the option to check for newer versions of your applications. The client downloads the latest setup script from your server to manage your software updates over the Internet.

BTW, SetupBuilder 5 uses this feature to live update itself.

Just drop me a line if you need further assistance.
