SetupBuilder and Registering Active X DLL on Vista

Hi Friedrich,

Sorry for opening a new thread but that way I'm sure you see it :-)

We have an ocx that seems not to register on certain vista machines. Do I
have to add a vista manifest and/or code sign that ocx? And also can I add
the manifest in SB (I know I can I just wonder if it's enough), because the
ocx is written in VB5 and the other one in Delphi 5 so there's no support
there.

Not sure if a simple manifest embedding and code-signing helps. Of course,
SetupBuilder can do both for you. But if the OCX does "something" in
protected areas then it's not really Vista-aware and might not register and
not work.

So you really need a "true" Vista-aware OCX. Sorry for the bad news :-(

Ok I see - I will try to add the manifest and code sign it and see what
