Hello Friederich,

Enjoying the European holidays ? smiles....like all of us it seems!

Just an idea after the installation of the 9047 build:
As we are a majority of Clarion users not to be working in English, would it
not be possible for you in the setupbuilder to add a "way" of checking "our"
personnal addons and translations with say a instring of #!Dev.Addon or any
other relevant text you could give us to add to our files ?

Or is it the heat and the sun driving me crazy with wishfull thinkings? :)

Hi Jean-Pierre,

Sorry, I fear I don't understand what you mean. All machines here are
running US software, so I don't have experiences with other languages ;-) I
have never seen a French or German Windows version <g>.

Are you referring to the Clarion 9047 patch / add-ons?

Thanks,
Friedrich

No actually I am refering to the lines in the clarion clw or tpw or inc
files we change to translate the messages for example
If we added lines like #!Dev.Addition before and after those lines to make
them stand out....could the installer if.... scan and if he finds such
"markings" rename the old file or something like that when we install a new
build of clarion ?
I must be dreaming....smiles

Aha, I see. I don't think this will be available in a Clarion patch. A
Clarion patch is *very* complex (the SB5 compiler reduces 50 MB of modified
data into a small 4 MB patch) and this could cause too many problems.
