I have replaced the program to be run on three shortcuts.

When I install over an existing install. One of the shortcuts is not
replaced. (Replace existing Shortcut = Yes). The application icon in both
the old and new programs are identical (~app.ico). The old shortcut is
labeled (2).

What did I do wrong?

Lynn,

Unfortunately, I have no idea. A few minutes ago I have tested this on XP
SP2, XP SP3, Vista Ultimate, Vista Ultimate SP1, and Windows Server 2008.
The installer replaced the existing shortcut under the Start Menu without
any problem.

I assume you did not mean a Desktop shortcut, right?

Hi Friedrich,

No this is an icon in All Programs.

Can I delete this icon in the install?

BTW this is XP SP2.

Hi Lynn,

Yes, you can delete a shortcut using the "Delete File(s)..." script
function.

But there must be a reason for your problem. Deleting the shortcut is not
the solution.

You can send me the "old" and the "new" .sb6 script (which replaces the
shortcut from the "old" script) and I should be able to tell you where the
problem is.

Or send me the "old" uninstall .log and the new .sb6 script.
