View Full Version : Incorrect version number being written into registry

I'm creating a complete install that will use the Web Update features. I
took the SB5 file that I used for my original version 2.0 installation,
made the appropriate changes to produce a version 2.1 install, compiled and
copied the install to a machine that has never had this program installed on
it.

When I ran the install on the test computer, the LOCAL_VERSION value written
into the registry for the application is 2.0

Setup:
On the <General> <Product Properties> tab the field [PRODUCTVER] is 2.1 (
see image )

On the <General> <Version Resource> tab the field "File Version" is 2.1 (
see image )

On the <Web> tab Enable iDelpoy Web Update is checked and the "Product
Version" is 2.1 ( see image )

There are no custom lines of code in the script file. Completely wizard
produced.

Does anyone have a clue what I am missing or what has gone wrong? I am
unable to find a reference to 2.0 anywhere in the entire SB5 file.

Thanks for any help.

Lee

Lee,

Could you please send me the uninstall .log?

Thanks,
Friedrich

Friedrich,

I just got online to see if I could remove the message. I continued testing
and all I did was recompile the install and it started working correctly. Go
figure.

Sorry if I caused you any concern.
