Mark,

Hmm, strange. Can anybody reproduce this? I have tested the Web Install on
9 different machines (running Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista) and
it worked fine.

I am sorry for the inconveniences!

No way to reproduce this here :-( I checked the server log and 72 users
already updated successfully (80% running XP SP2).

Succesfully patched over here; Over Win XP Pro.

Just a suggestion; is there any possibility of made the list of recent
projects in the new start page longer? I have around 20 projects, and see
only 6 there... I can't find an option to change this.

Same GPF occurred on my laptop. Full install worked fine there as well.

Do you have any idea what could cause this? Do both machines have the same
Firewall product or something like that?

Just checked the web log. 243 users (successfully) updated through Web
Update (87% XP SP2) and I did not receive any similar report.

Would it be possible for you to install 1321 on your laptop so I can send
you a debug web update version tomorrow to find out where it GPFs? I need
your help to fix this ;-)

Build #1321 is still here:

The only reason I installed it in the first place was in hopes the filter
thing was there<g>

Worked fine here. Perhaps he hit OK with the old SB IDE still running or
not completely shutdown?

Hello Friederich,

All went fine of course ! smiles

Just a (stupid ?) question if you please :
I "discovered" the FTP tab and came to think-dream of the setupbuilder being
able to more or less automatically upload to the server the new files (web
deploy) after a new compile ....

Merci

Hello Jean-Pierre,

Thank you :)

Unfortunately, it's not possible to automatically upload only "new files".
The date/file stamp of files on the server is always <> the original
file/time stamp. And to generate a CRC32 of all server files, we would have
to download all files first (not a good idea).

Perhaps we can use some kind of "FTP History Log" to handle this. I'll give
this some thoughts for one of the next versions ;-)

Hello again,

Would it be possible to upload all the compiled files then and if we only
want to upload some of them.... in a later version if it is possible ?

Hello Jean-Pierre,

Sorry, but this will not be possible. It will only upload all files.

No problem ;-)

It seems to be machine specific, so we can work on this when the next web
update is out.

Please allow me one more question. Did you see the "sbuilder.exe is
active..." message box or any dialog before the web update client GPFed?

Thanks,
Friedrich

Its a deal.

I closed sb5 manually once the "do you use a proxy" window came up - in
both cases. No other dialogs that come to mind.

Friedrich,

Could there also be an option to clear the "Recent List"? There reason
is occasionally I open a project like an example project and then I
have to keep looking past it. I would like to be able to clear the
list and start over so I just see what I am really working on.

Thanks.

Barton,

Thank you for your suggestion. I'll try to add a "Clear Recent List"
function.

It acts like Visual Studio now, but a clear function is a good idea (IMO).

Not a clear, but allow deletion of selected entries.

One problem, I can remove projects from the pick list, but the list doesn't get
updated until I close the program and reload it.

Ned,

Hmm, works fine here (but I have 20 files in my Recent Project List). How
many files do you have in Files | Recent Projects?

Wait a minute... Just installed it on another machine and I can reproduce
it. It has something to do with the number of items in the list. It will
be fixed in the next build, thank you.

Thanks,
Friedrich

I had 4 projects, probably the small number showed the problem.

Thanks for the quick fix.
