FTP Upload

Hello all,

It may seem stupid but being new to this function ....
I opened my project settings and clicked on ftp upload and then clicked on
the hostname button and was presented with the data entered - I presume -
for the iDeploy
I accepted it
I compiled and accepted the ftp upload and it did some work
I'm still looking for the files on the server ..... :(

Where should I check the dir it was uploaded to or some log file please ?

Jean-Pierre,

It should not be the iDeploy data (because this is HTTP). See Options |
Tools | FTP Profile and add your FTP data to select it in the FTP Upload
tab. Or directly enter your FTP info in the FTP tab (General Information).
But if it's always the same FTP connection info, I would suggest to create a
profile.

Hello Friederich,

yes but what aboit the directory in which it should be uploaded ?
In the Project FTP if I put in FTP Location anything else than a domain name
I get an error
In the Tools/Options can I put something like
suitecomptable.com/cgfmaj/Web/
in the host address field
is there a log of the ftp anywhere to check the upload please ?

See online help:

"FTP Location — The Host Address field contains the location of the FTP
server
to which SetupBuilder is to connect. For example: ftp.lindersoft.com/mydir"

The FTP location field contains both the host and folder name. I think, in
your case it is: ftp.suitecomptable.com/cgfmaj/Web/

If the upload fails, the compiler reports a WIninet error code. Otherwise,
all files (listed in the .htm compiler report) where uploaded to the FTP
Location.

yes all is fine now: it was simply that my server "needs" the
suitecomptable.com/www/cgfmaj etc .....
