As far as I know, the number of programs in concurrent operation is limited
to three on Vista Starter. Perhaps this limit is reached?

Does your program give any error message? What kind of program is it?

Standard Dairy management system .....

I am picking up that when they fill in any type of date field, that any
other date field on the form gets blanked out (contents removed)

copying the same installlation to a Vista Business or Vista Basic machine
runs perfectly fine.

It also seems that for non-date fields, as soon as a form has more than 10
fields (non date ), the contents from one field seems to interfere with the
others...

Kind regards

Ben
