View Full Version : Progress bar during execution

Hi Friedrich,

At some point I suggested that you put up a progress bar to show what
SB is doing when called from the command line. I recall you saying
that you had added something, but I'm not seeing anything in 6.8, so I
presume this is in 7.0?

This can cause a problem for me in the Build Automator because if the
customer is using the FTP function in Setup Builder, the upload can
take a while and without any visual cues from Setup Builder it appears
that the Build Automator has locked up shop and stopped working;) I
have added a static window that indicates what it is doing, but that's
about all I can do for now.

Yes, already included in SB 7.0 (see attached screenshot)

I understand. I fear I cannot port that SB7 code back to SB6, but I'll
check this.

Cool:) I just wasn't sure if it was supposed to be in 6 or 7.

Since this is mostly an issue with the FTP, perhaps you could show a
progress just during the FTP?

I checked the source code and unfortunately, it's not possible. It would
take quite some time to port the code back from SB7 to the SB6 compiler.

Ok. Not a big deal since I'll be adding FTP to the BA in June:) So
when is 7 coming out? I think I have a few features in there that I'm
eager to explore;)
