View Full Version : Using SBSP32 from Clarion

Hi Friedrich,

I'm not making much headway on using the SBSP32.dll... According to SB, my
SB subscription is valid until Septemeber 1, 2008. Yet both demos and my
code fail to initialize with Error Code 1.

Any ideas?

Make sure that your test code can find the sbdev.lic and the sbsp32.dll.

Does that help?

Hi Charles,

All in one folder. I've tested with both of the demos that are
installed for Clarion. I copied the dll and lic to each of the demo
folders. Error 1 - SB MP expired. I copied both to my program folder
and created a lib. Same thing.

Re-read your post.

Those only have to be present in your MP generator.

So in your SB built installer, your using the "Verify Subscription Key"
function?

Just a thought - but did you use a message to display the key after you
loaded it (and before you verify it) to make sure it is getting loaded from
where you stored it?

.... and re-read it again.

Check your email and let me know if that solves it.

I have installed SB6 and the sPSDK with your serial number and subscription
key and then compiled the Demo1 Clarion source. It works without any
problem.

I sent the source and binary to your private email.

Does this help?

Very interesting. I copied your demo into C:\Temp\SBTest Compiled
and it runs. When I compile and run the C:\Program Files\...\Demo1\
it fails. ALL the files are identical. All the files in the C:\Temp\
are there. It's exactly the same.

ARGGG! Found the difference!

The DLL that _I_ have is version 6.7.2106. _Your_ dll is version
6.7.2163

When I use the new dll things start to work!

I don't recall getting any emails about updates to the sPSDK?

You are still using the sPSDK Gold version (January 10, 2008).

The following maintenance release (January 15, 2008) fixed it:

:)

We did not send out a subscription notification for that minor sPSDK update.
But the sPSDK update was part of the "February 2008 Update" announcement:

SetupBuilder 6.7 -- February 2008 Update -- Build 2130 (February 3, 2008)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

FEATURE : sPSDK: setupPROTECT SDK (sPSDK) Build 2110 for SetupBuilder
Developer Edition is available (requires a current SetupBuilder
subscription).
