Version of webupdate

Hello all,

reverting to setupbuilder after some time ....

I am wondering how to make sure the webupdater really puts the version in
its reg key as here it does not do so!

I changed the project and ideploy version number and it created the correct
ini file sent on the server but after doing an update from a computer the
version number in reg key lindersoft webapps/paths is still the old one ,
result the user can redo the update any number of times he wants ....

Maybe you did not update the Product Version in iDeploy Web Update.

If you only change [PRODUCTVER] but you do not use a compiler variable
in iDeploy Web Update, then it does not update the registry value.

I have both fields with the same 6.0.0.1 value .....
I should use a compiler variable then in place ?

Jean-Pierre,

You can use a compiler variable here (then you only have to modify one
"global" value).

If the iDeploy version is 6.0.0.1, then the registry value should be 6.0.0.1
after performing the web update.

We have never received any bug report with regards to the above.
