View Full Version : Registering Clarion Templates

Hi All,

I've created a script to install Clarion templates and am having trouble
getting the script to register templates in Clarion during install.

I've added the "Clarion Environment Detection" during the Wizard Dialog
Definitions, then I've added "Register all pending Clarion Templates"
towards the end of the script. I've even added a "Queue existing Clarion
Template for Registration" just before the "Register all pending Clarion
Templates" - but no joy.

Its obviously something I'm missing out, but seeing as this is one of my 1st
scripts, I could do with a hand!

Does anybody have any ideas / examples on this?

Thanks in advance, Regards,

Andy Wilton

Andy,

I think you did not set the $SB_CLARIONTEMPLATEFLAG$ installer flag.

This is automatically set if you enable the "Register as Clarion Template in
the Clarion Registry" checkbox in the "File Properties" for your .tpl files.
It is not set if you "queue" files for registration.

You wrote that you have added a "Queue existing Clarion Template for
Registration" so I assume you do not use the "Register as Template in the
Clarion Registry" checkbox in the "File Properties" for the templates,
right?

I have attached a quick-and-dirty demo.

Does this help?

Friedrich

Hi Friedrich,

How silly do I feel! Yes, I had forgotten to tick the 'Register as Clarion
Template" on the ".tpl" file.

Thanks for the example, it will help especially with the detecting of
Clarion already running etc.
