Friedrich,

Is there anyway to install a file to a different filename?

IOW - I've got MyFile.exe on disk, and when the install writes on the other
side, I want it to be installed to MyNewFile.exe (without a write, then
rename)?

No, you can't rename the file during the installation process. One solution
is to install that file to a temporary folder (don't log the action!), then
copy the file from the temporary folder to the final location and give
another name. Have the "Uninstall" option enabled in this case and the file
will be uninstalled during an uninstall execution.
