Hello All,

We have successfully tested our latest SetupBuilder 5 (build #861) installation system on Windows XP SP2. There are no known XP SP2 related issues.

To detect XP SP2, you can use the "Get System Information" (Service Pack Number) script item. The function returns "2" if XP SP2 is installed on the target machine.

Wonderful! How do you guys do it? We are having a XP SERVICE PACK 2 HELL here because all Install$hit installations stopped working on XP SP2.

Can we get access to Sb5 beta?

Thanks in advance.

Gavin

Hmm, converted our Install$hit installation to Sb5 in under an hour. And it's working on all Windows versions now (even on XP SP2). My boss is impressed.

Why did we spend a gajillion dollars on Install$hit?

Interesting note: customers reported that installation time went down from 30 minutes to 8 minutes using Sb5. We got several phone calls because they thought something was going wrong <G>. Cool product!
