    Friedrich,

I rebuilt the installer using the plain Wupdate rather than the Wupdate-SSL
Changed my software to use that too and it seems to be working.
    The SSL one worked here.

    Chris,

we did not receive any similar report. No, the user does not need our certificate on his machine (wupdate.exe uses a trusted root certificate from Comodo).

Can you reproduce the issue on one of your machines?

It's very well possible that the user has received a buggy definition update from his security provider and this blocks or locks a wupdate.exe component.

    Code 101000182 - 0023.lib causing problems

    Hello,

I have an old user getting this error with a new setup I just sent.
When I searched it, here the answer (pretty much) was to update to ver 7 Maybe there is a new cause of the old problem.
    http://www.lindersoft.com/forums/sho...code+101000182

I'm going to change the installer back to non-ssl first just to get them going. Should I have the user install the Linder certificates from wupdate?
Beyond that, I'm at a loss. The second message says to turn off AV AMw software but the user is using only MS AV

Is this a Trust issue with the SSL wupdate.exe?

    TIA,
    Chris
