Re: File Attributes Steve, This (regression) is already fixed in our latest internal source codes. We'll make an update available soon. Change log for release of SetupBuilder 5.2 Build 1355 (December 20, 2005) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Features/Improvements/Fixes/Workarounds/Changes/Notes: FEATURE : [SB#512194] Add a "Distribute File" menu option on the Build menu. IMPROVEMENT: [SB#512193] If the FTP upload process failed, the compiler reports the WinINet error code. FIX : [SB#512161] FTP Port saved incorrectly. FIX : [SB#512195] In certain isolated circumstances, the Get Started project pick list didn't get updated until you closed the program and reloaded it. FIX : [SB#512196] When the "User Original File Attributes" checkbox and all other boxes were unchecked, you ended up with read-only files if the source file was read-only. CHANGE : [SB#512192] Hide the FTP password on the screen by masking it.
File Attributes I am installiig source data files that have the read-only attribute enabled in my development system. I would like the target installed files to have this attribute turned off. On the SB5 File Properties Dialog, Attributes Tab I have unchecked "Use Original File Attributes". Then made sure the read-only attribute is unchecked. The results of the installation appear to only enable flags when checked but have no effect when un-checking an attribute. Am I seeiig the intended behavior or am I doing something incorrectly? Thanks.... Steve
