    Re: Problem with symantec

BTW, and please note that Symantec removed a couple of your EXE files after the update process. So this is not a false-positive bug on the web update process per-se; the smart Symantec mechanism detected a potential virus in your installed EXE files and removed them. So you have to give Symantec a list of your EXE files and pray that they fix it in their next definition update.

Other than that, there is absolutely nothing you can do.

    David,

You should contact Symantec to report this bug so they can fix it in their next definition update.

    Problem with symantec

Last night we did a software update to all our stores using the Setup Builder " web install"

We have successfully used this to install in the past but last night we had problems with all the the computers that were running Symantec.

Symantec removed a couple of EXE files that updated during the install.

We have code signed all the exe's and the install itself.

Is there anything else we can do to prevent Symantec thinking this is a virus?
