When we are making automatic updates via WuUpdate.exe, it would be
nice to see how many has updated. Is there an easy way to count it?

What you can do is to analyze your web traffic .log file (that's how we
handle it and that's the easiest way).
We always do a full-featured web-traffic log file analysis to see how many
users updated.
