Server migration (Saturday, October 27, 2018)
All,
we'll migrate to a new server this coming weekend (October 27-28). We'll
disable our vBulletin system Saturday morning and re-enable it after the
migration process (this might take 48 hours).
Our sites (including SetupBuilder web update) might be on and off until
sometime Sunday afternoon, but never completely down for more than ten
minutes.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and appreciate your
patience.

- Server migration will begin on Saturday at 8am Eastern.
- We'll disable our vBulletin board at 7am Eastern.
- We'll disable our SetupBuilder Web Update at 7am Estern (this will not
affect your own Web Update functionality).

Don't forget to reduce your TTL :)
Currently TTL=172800

Yes, interesting. I think it's completely out of my control - this two day
"time to live" setting is the default and standard value. IMO, it's all
about money - seems to be very expensive ($$$) to set it to, say, 60
seconds.

Nah, you should hopefully be able to do this temporarily. Check your
ISP and/or registrar. For example:

The idea is to do this several days in advance so that all of the DNS
caches will know to load your changes ASAP when the switch is made.
When you're done, change the TTL to normal.

Hmmm, I'll check this. Thanks for the info.

Hi Jeff,
good news. Our registrar told me that our TTL is 1 hour time.
I am curious what domain(s) reported 172800 (48 hours).

It's dirt simple to lookup for any domain, use nslookup...
