Mark,
Hmm, I don't have any server error in my server log file. Could you please

Mark,
Strange. I have received about 60 emails today. Just sent 10 test emails
and I received all of them.
Could you please send your email to support (at) lindersoft (dot) com Same error?
Thanks,

Done. No bounce so far, previously they were appearing rather quickly. Note
the reference to pair.com in the headers if you get it. I dont use
pair.com:)

Mark,
I did not receive it :-(
I contacted our web hoster and they suspect you are "greylisted".
Greylisting looks at the IP address of the sender and the recipient address.
If the system does not recognize this information, then it will temporarily
reject the e-mail.
I have disabled this "feature" now. Could you please resend it again to
friedrich (at) lindersoft (dot) com
Thanks,
Friedrich

They "suspect" that? Either it is or it isnt. One would think they would
know:) Greylisted by who? Them or some central "authority"? If the latter,
who?
Also: I got your email.

To be frank, I have no idea. I have disabled the "Graylisting" feature now
and have received your email without any problem.
I think it's some kind of "e-mail header" problem (but I am not an expert in
this field).
Emergency technical support told me the following:
Greylisting looks at the IP address of the sender and the recipient
address. If the system does not recognize this information, then it will
temporarily reject the e-mail. All legitimate e-mail systems will attempt
to resend the e-mail at a later time, and the e-mail will go through.
Most applications that send junk e-mail just send junk e-mail messages
once and do not attempt to resend them. These junk e-mail applications
use the "fire-and-forget" method, which means that if the junk e-mailer
was unsuccessful at sending junk e-mail to a particular e-mail address,
the application will not try to resend that e-mail message.
Greylisting does not delete legitimate e-mail messages. All legitimate
e-mails will go through using greylisting. The only potential effect
greylisting may have for pair Networks customers is a slight delay in the
delivery of legitimate e-mail messages.
However, these delays can be avoided by adding e-mail addresses to your
"Accepted Addresses" list. Any e-mail address in your "Accepted
Addresses" list will not be subjected to greylisting. In addition, if
you do experience a delay with a certain e-mail address, you will not
experience that delay again over the next 30-day period.

If they happen to mention more specifics, please pass that info on:)

Mark,
Sounds to me like they are doing reverse DNS lookups.
