PayPal Payment Option (FAQ)
All,
Interestingly, about 20% of all payments for new SetupBuilder licenses or
subscription renewals are done via PayPal. I really did not expect this and
"Do you accept PayPal?" is becoming a FAQ.
Yes, in addition to accepting most major credit cards, Lindersoft also
allows customers to pay with PayPal. When customers choose the PayPal
payment method, the WebStore directs them to PayPal's Express Checkout
interface, where they can quickly authenticate their payments. After
authentication, the customers return to the WebStore to complete their
purchases.

That's pretty much the percentage for ClarionMag too - for some years
already.
A few years ago another third party vendor told me he was paid almost
exclusively via PayPal. That really surprised me.

Re: PayPal Payment Option (FAQ)
90% of my sales are done through Paypal. But we also have Intuit
Merchant Services.
The benefit of Paypal is an excellent rate and no monthly fees. Their
virtual terminal (allows you to enter transactions) costs $30/mo. (I
canceled that)
Intuit charges $10/mo plus fees and has the ability to enter
transactions online.
So, for an overhead cost of $10/mo I can do it all.

Wow, 90% of your customers pay via PayPal? Amazing! Most (70%) of our
customers pay via Mastercard, Visa and AMEX. 10% pay via Purchase Order
(large companies, US military, etc.).

The cool thing is, we do not even need a PayPal account to support PayPal
payments. Our eCommerce provider handles all this completely
behind-the-scenes for us. They introduced the option to accept PayPal five
years ago, but because I was not a PayPal friend at all, we never made use
of this option. Then, eight months ago, we enabled this feature and now 20%
are using it.

Re: PayPal Payment Option (FAQ)
If you have a paypal account and someone pays you from a paypal account
(and it has funds in it), there are NO fees.

Thats because SWREG is also a merchant, so you are paying them AND Paypal.
Paypal on their own (without an extra layer of merchants like SWREG, etc)
is pretty competitive to other online merchant accts.
