    Re: Error decompressing #8...?

About the code-signing. This does not work if we don't have a certificate to sign our installers / code with, am I right?

We don't have one (looked up once what Comodo needs from us, didn't get...

    Error decompressing #8...?

    Hi Friedrich,

Wondering about the reason I suddenly get a (and i translate from Dutch) "decompression error #8" while installing my *just* updated installer.

It starts yelling at me when...
  5. Re: Cannot download server manifest file...

    Thanks Friedrich!
  6. Re: Cannot download server manifest file...

http://www.modest.nl/v5/watchit.wud is where the WUD file and the exe are.

http://www.modest.nl/v5/inst_ww_581520121217.exe downloads mighty fine in IE.
  7. Re: Cannot download server manifest file...

No I can't, but I can download the update executable manually using IE.

    Both are auto-uploaded by SB7.
  8. Cannot download server manifest file...

    Hi there,

Since we've moved webservers people cannot use the auto-update feature in our solution.

I thought i could imagine why... Created the FTP user the older wupdate could use, same...

    Re: Changed update location

Hmmm yep that would help however the "old" server isn't there anymore.

Was thinking about some primary / alternative place or something, but that's not there.

I think it's easier in this case...

    Changed update location

    Hi Friedrich,

We've changed Hosting provider recently. Now the hosting provider change is not a problem because the domain name is the same. However, the location where the files are stored has...
  12. Re: wupdate doesn't update anymore.

Is there any control over the client side then Friedrich? Can we influence the version number some way or another? Where does it store the version number anyway?

    Our own test-installation didn't...
  13. Re: wupdate doesn't update anymore.

    Hi Friedrich,

    Thanks for the swift response!

We didn't do anything we normally wouldn't do, so i was a tad worried.

Wupdate says there's no newer version available.

    The manifest file is...

Word and Wordpad handle RTF differently quite apparently!

I've read the same RTF in wordpad, saved it there again, same result.

    Re: Setup error

We have exactly the same problem.

Generating a 32 bit install gives no issues on either machine type.

Generating a hybrid install gives the issue on x64 machines. it gives this very same...

  19. Re: SB6 project converted to SB7: all dialogs gone?

    Ahhhhhhhhh!

  20. Re: SB6 project converted to SB7: all dialogs gone?

    Hi Friedrich,

Tried this, I took the original SB6 project, changed version properties, saved first as SB7 project (the save tool doesn't auto save as SB7 file extension by the way, bug?), then...
  21. Re: SB6 project converted to SB7: all dialogs gone?

    Thanks Friedrich!

Can I suggest to simply take the old SB6 project from the backup, then reconvert and recompile it? In this case there should not be any error.

    Am i right?

    Best regards,

    Hi all,

Installed SB7 today to replace SB6. Backed up all projects, installed new SB7, loaded one of the SB6 projects into SB7: no conversion errors.

    So far so good!
