Works like a charm, I just needed to UPPER the value first before checking it.
I must read what you type Friedrich, I used SET VARIABLE and not the STRING FUNCTION previously!

Not a problem, received loud and clear :)
OH BUT IT DOES :) :)
Bugger, cant get this to work Friedrich
Am I evaluating the expression? If so I'm getting all sorts of numbers back
Thanks Friedrich, I think we'll manually enter the date and set a 3 month expiration instead, sounds like too much hard work if you ask me ;) lol
Sure, consider it emailed :)
I did find however that if I removed the uninstall log filename then it never created it.
Thanks Friedrich, I'm sure it will :)
Any way I can check to see if the %_SB_INSTALLDIR% contains a word, ie SYNC? I basically want the user to select a folder and if it's not my SYNC folder I dont want the wizard dialog script to move...
Is there a compiler variable that stores the date the script was compiled which can then be embeded into the executable for checking against? I want to expire my update.exe's but I dont want to keep...
If I uncheck Support Uninstall, why is an unistall log file still created?
I now see what you're saying Friedrich, I must add my Sample Data Feature to those Setup Types in order for it to be 'selected' as such.
On another note, I want a dialog with 2 checkboxes...
I've not done that, I've created a Sample Data feature type, added all the files I want to that feature and in the script I've placed an IF and END around that group of files to be installed.
...
So I can still set the files to be installed for Sample Data as a feature, but place the IF and END in the script around these files???
Ok I want the user to be able to select to install Data, but only if they select to install Standalone or Server from the list of types that I have. I was hoping to create a Data feature which I can...
Can a checkbox set a feature to be installed, if so how?
:)
The more I use SB5 the more I like ;)
Its ok Friedrich, I found I had to setup a new variable which holds the program files folder which the icons are then installed into, now everything is working fine :)
Works a treat, thanks :)
Absolutely :)
If a Dialog that asks for a SYNC folder, and it works well. But, I want to reselect that Dialog window IF the value %SYNCFOLDER% contains NOTHING. Is this possible.
How do you set up Shortcut icons required for individual setup types? I want to install test.exe for my server and standalone setup type but NOT for my workstation setup type.
I've added a script...
How does one do this???
If there is an example around (I read there by searching these forums but cant find it) can someone point me in the right direction please, ta.
Sorted, in the script I added an IF %SB_DIALOGID% EQUALS 2, then set the value I wanted and jsut before the END I added a REFRESH NEXT DIALOG :)
But was this the correct way to do this???
I'm playing with SB5 here, and I want to set the installation folder before the dialogue window appears, based on the feature installed.
My loop wizard is as such:
LOOP WIZARD
WIZARD...
Looking good :)
