    Hello,

I have to check a few things in SetupBuilder 2022 and get back to you. In SetupBuilder 2019 this is no possible.

    Re: TS-SetupBuilder

    Hello,

unfortunately, we have no idea what "TS-SetupBuilder" means. Perhaps TopSpeed SetupBuilder. SetupBuilder is an installation system and powers 100.000s of setups worldwide.

    Hi Mark,

the 0015.LIB component powers the "Set Access Control" function to support ACL. An access control list (ACL) specifies the rules for access to a particular resource (permissions of files,...

    Re: EV code signing certificate

    Hi Colin,

you have to use the name that you see in the certificate store! It does not make a difference whether you export a PFX to the store or use a EV CS.

    Code-signing is completely handled...

    Re: Signtool.exe install fails

    Daan,

if the "install" fails, then there is still some kind of background protection running (and triggers a false-positive). We are using ESET here on all machines (and I am sure, most of our...

    Re: Signtool.exe install fails

    Seth,

it breaks uninstaller code-signing (you'll have an un-signed uninstaller .exe, which is a no-go) and archive integrity will be corrupt.

You have to use the code-signing technology...

    Re: Signtool.exe install fails

    Daan,

    manual signing breaks everything !!! Never ever code-sign a setup.exe manually !!!

Perhaps it's your Windows Defender? I would suggest to use the SignTool.exe from the SetupBuilder IDE...

    Re: Registering an OCX

    Hi Bob,

is your setup.exe code-signed? If it is really caused by the anti-virus then this might help.

You can use "Register File Operation" -> Register OCX immediately to see if this helps...

    Re: Signtool.exe install fails

    Hello,

it's very well possible that your protection software "blocks" the download process. Please try to "whitelist" the SB10.EXE. Perhaps this allows communication with Microsoft server again....
