Default Win7 and "Could not get write access..." errors

In the past I've successfully used CACLS with SB to set read/write access to
    \ProgramData\MyCo\MyApp in Vista.

With Win7, this appears to work and using "If File/Folder is not writable"
indicates that the folder _is_ writable.

However, my app is encountering "Could not get write access..." errors to a
    .tps file in this directory.

Has anyone some insights or an alternatitive to suggest?

Also, would SB's Set Access Control function be a better choice than CACLS?

    Just a few random thoughts.

    1. As of Vista, CACLS is deprecated. (Try it from the command-line. It
will work, but will suggest you use ICACLS instead.)
    2. A folder can be writeable when individual files or folders within it are
    not, or vice-versa.

What do you see on the target machine if you right-click the TPS file and
look at the Security tab on its Properties?

Since it works, I would think so<g> I have not had problems with it that I
    know of.

    Best regards,
