Network communication error 5060

I am trying to get my web install working.
I can get it working on a linex box but can not get it working from our company windows server.

I have read all the posts on this error. we have set the mime settings to allow all the file types.

I can access all the files using any web browser and using the the correct user name and password. BUT i still get "Network communication error 5060"
when i try to run the web install exe.

any ideas?

If you are sure that all your configuration settings are correct, I assume your firewall blocks access to the server from the wupdate.exe (or wucheck.exe) application. Fix this and you should be done.

The fire wall is off. That was checked first. I have made these checks from different computers
