    Default Clarion 7.3.0.7280

All SoftVelocity Clarion 7 3rd-party developers,

There is a Clarion 7.3.0.7280 version out there (I think the PE version).
Please note that SetupBuilder can NOT detect this as Clarion 7.2 (because it
    is labled 7.3!).

Duh! I'll check with one of my customers who was having troubles, to
see if he's got this. Is there a new SB release imminent. <g>

a possible workaround is to correct the version number in the clarion exe
    yourself
using a resource editor, like Resource Hacker.

use at your own risk, and make a backup first.

Please note that, after manipulating the Clarion.exe, the code-signature is
invalid and if the "User Account Control: Only elevate executables that are
signed and validated" security policy is enabled, Clarion.exe will result in
a "A referral was returned from the server" error message and does not
    start.

And if this policy is not enabled, UAC-aware Windows will display (IMO) an
"Unknown User" warning at IDE startup.

The new SetupBuilder maintenance build seems to work around this version
    issue.

    Hi,

If SV could put up a new build with proper version numbers, I think that
would be a far better solution. There seems to be a lot of new driver
issues as well, that I think are resolved. Hopefully we'll get a new build
this week and then the version numbers will be back into normal/proper.

Z claims they did this very soon after the initial release.

    Then just have people redownload.

That would also do, but we didn't know that until Z's message this
    morning.
