Default Can Uninstall Leave Files Intact?

    [Saturday, March 12, 2005 5:41 AM]

Is it possible for the uninstaller to leave behind files? I want to be able to have a user uninstall the application but leave some data files.

    Joe,

No problem. Please disable the "Uninstall" checkbox (File Properties).

    Does this help?

    Hi Joe,

Remember also that the Uninstaller only uninstalls what the Installer
put there in the first place. If you distribute Data Files with your
app then follow Friedrich's advice but if your app creates the empty
data files before the first data entry is made (as many applications
do) then these will always be left behind during an uninstall.

    Best Regards,
    Geoff Spillane
