SetupBuilder 8.1 Build 4550 Release Announcement

We are pleased to announce the availability of SetupBuilder 8.1 Build 4550.
This release is available, free of charge, to all SetupBuilder customers who
have an active SetupBuilder maintenance subscription plan.

The update contains important bug fixes and minor enhancements. We strongly
recommend that all customers upgrade to the new version of SetupBuilder 8.1
as soon as possible to maintain the highest level of support, performance
and reliability.

This is the last maintenance release for SetupBuilder 8.1. Microsoft is
planning to launch the next chief release for Windows at an event on 30th of
September (and allow people to download a Technical Preview). We will add
preliminary built-in support for the next chief release for Windows
"Technology Preview" to SetupBuilder 8.2 and full support for the final
Windows 9 / Server 9 to SetupBuilder 9.0.

To get the latest product version, select "Check for Updates" from within
the SetupBuilder 8 IDE.

To get the latest documentation, select "Check for Documentation Updates"
from within the SetupBuilder 8 IDE.

SetupBuilder 8.1 Build 4550 (September 23, 2014)

NEW : Installer: The "User Account..." script function can create
Administrator type accounts.

NEW : [SB#4-08191] Installer: Add new function to re-calculate the
required disk-space when a Feature is programmatically enabled
or disabled via the "Set Feature State..." script function.

NEW : [SB#4-09051] IDE: The compiler can create a nested directory
structure for Output Directory [OUTPUTDIR].

NEW : IDE: Detect .PFX code-signing certificate / SignTool.exe

NEW : [SB#4-09111] Installer: The "Environment Variable" field in the
"Edit Compiler Variable" script function can resolve runtime

NEW : Add compiler warning for Windows 9 (and later) environments.

FIX : [SB#4-08051] IDE: The Certificate Profiles store (IDE Options)
did allow a "blank" certificate profile.

FIX : IDE: The FTP Site Profiles store (IDE Options) did allow a
"blank" host address.

FIX : IDE: The IDE did not correctly detect the elevation level on
Windows 8.1 and Server 2012 R2. The "Redistributable Manager"
returned "Error Code 999" when running in a non-elevated state.

FIX : Installer: Possible minor "Disk Space Requirements" calculation
issue (+/- uninstaller file size).

FIX : [SB#4-09181] The compiler did not generate the "Target
Operation System" and "Feature" condition code for the "Create
Service..." script function.

FIX : Installer: The uninstall action for a "Create Unique Backup
File..." script command always set the Read-only attribute.
