Validate Path

What does the Handle String function Validate Path actually do? "Validate Path—Returns a copy of a file or folder Source String that has been validated"

But I don't see any means by which it signals when a path is invalid. It returns an invalid path unchanged. Is there a status flag set somewhere?

The documentation is a bit misleading. The function is used to remove a trailing slash and some of the common illegal characters.

We'll add a note to the documentation.
