Thread: License Agreement Accept Text character limit

  1. #1

Default License Agreement Accept Text character limit

We are currently trying to change our Agree prompt to state "By checking here and clicking “Next”, you agree to the terms of the End User License Agreement set forth above.", however the text gets cut off. Is there are way we can have this max character length longer so it writes on a new line? The text we are required to use was given to us by our legal department.

    Hello,

the license agreement text file size already increased from 100KB to 200KB in Build 5708. Perhaps it already helps to open your license agreement RTF in WordPad and resave it? This will remove most of the internal RTF garbage.

    Friedrich,

I'm talking about the number of characters that shows up in the label next to the "Accept" radio button. Instead of a simple "Accept", we are changing it to "By checking here and clicking “Next”, you agree to the terms of the End User License Agreement set forth above."

    Thank you,
    Kevin

Another option might be to change the default size of the window to make it wider, instead of making the label multi line.

If any of this is possible, is there a planned future release date where we can expect this functionality to be implemented?

Ahhh, sorry. Misinterpreted the license agreement character limit question

The radio button text is limited to one line and all controls have a fix position in standard dialogs. So my idea was to create a license agreement custom dialog... but this does not work either, because the radio button text is not multi-line enabled. We'll check if we can add multi-line options to the radio and checkbox controls for the custom dialog. I'll get back to you.

Okay, we have added a new multi-line option to the Checkbox and Radio Button controls for Custom Dialogs. This will be available in the next SetupBuilder build.

Thank you Friedrich! What's the best way to go about installing the latest builds? And is there is Changelog web address or similar that explains differences/changes between versions?
