Default Support for AWS S3 (and like systems on Azure, GCP)

    Friedrich,

In your spare time , it would be nice if the post-compile installer upload process could offer support for AWS S3.

Others might want support for whatever Azure and Google Cloud Platform offer in that same arena.

    Thanks,

    Mark

PS: I almost managed to stop saying something about adding those things in the webupdater process

    Friedrich,

AWS S3 is not a FTP or HTTP type upload. You can call their command line API (simple - and can be done with RUN() ), or you can use python, NetTalk, Curl, whatever. It's quite simple. Id be happy to give you a S3 bucket to test with. Should I email credentials to sales@lindersoft.com?

BTW, AWS offers a free tier of pretty much all their services - and S3 is ridiculously cheap. However, for testing, giving you a bucket to test with is way easier on you, due to security setup etc.

    Hi Mark,

I played with AWS some time ago (2021?) but I am running my own "cloud" services based on VMWare ESXi.

    Will re-evaluate it :-)

    Thanks again for your help.

    Friedrich
