Default New Sectigo EV Code-Signing Prices

    All,

as of June 1, 2023, all Code Signing Certificates must comply with the new
CA/B Forum regulations to ensure that the subscriber's private key is
generated, stored, and used in a suitable FIPS-compliant hardware.

Sectigo (and all other Webtrusts) adjusted code signing pricing globally so
there was an increase beginning of April 2023

SetupBuilder customers with a current SetupBuilder Maintenance and Support
Plan can still purchase original Sectigo EV Code Signing Certificates at a
discounted price. You can save $174 for 1-year, $297 for 2-years and $366
    for 3-years!

    https://www.setupbuilder.com/order_codesigning.htm

Do the math: a digicert Extended Validation (EV) Code Signing Certificate
    costs $755 for 1 year, $1,434 for 2 years and $2,151 for 3 years. A
Globalsign Extended Validation (EV) Code Signing Certificate costs $410 for
    1 year and $760 for 2 years and $950 for 3 years.

An original SetupBuilder discounted Sectigo Extended Validation (EV) Code
Signing Certificate through Lindersoft costs $324 for 1 year, $551 for 2
years and $681 for 3 years!

We decided to remove legacy code-signing certificate from our order page
(the price exploded)! After May 30, 2023 Sectigo OV code signing
certificates will be either installed on a Sectigo token and shipped
securely to the customer -or- available as a download to be installed on the
customer's own HSM. The hardware devices (e.g. tokens, HSMs, etc.) must be
FIPS-compliant and support externally verifiable key attestation. We'll
make code-signing ordering for HSM available (again) on June 1st, 2023.

After my just finished experience with Sectogo I cannot in good faith
recommend that comapny to anyone who wants to buy a certificate or
anything else - at any price I've done my last purchase from that
company. Comodo was a mess, but Sectigo has taken that to a whole
    different level of bad.

    Best regards,

    Hi Arnor,

I feel your pain. I have to request an EV certificate today (or tomorrow)
and let you know how it goes.

Unfortunately, digicert and Godaddy seem to have the very same level of
customer support for new EV certs :-(
