Default Sectigo Extended Validty Certificate does not work

Can anyone help us with this? We have the new EV certificate from Sectigo, but Setupbuilder cannot see it. The CERTMGR.MSC can see it.

We cannot use the code-signing with the USB device from Sectigo.

We get the following error when we try to compile the app in Setup Builder 2019 - See Image:

The Sectigo certificate is visable with CERTMGR.MSC - See Image:

Here are our settings in the app - See Image:

    Hello,

please remove all information from the above mentioned Preprocessor, except the File Name. Then try it again.

If it still does not work, please create a dummy project (with no files included) and try to code-sign it.

    Does this work?

    Hi Friedrich,

I'm also having the same problem with my new EV Certificate.

Reading your previous reply, I've created simple project, with no files, and I'm still seeing Error Code: 2 when trying to code sign the uninstaller.

The Safenet Authentication Client works with other tools.

I've configured the global code signing options as follows:

Hopefully you can spot what I'm doing wrong.

    Regards,

    Neil.

    Hi Neil,

Right now, there is some issue with the timestamp servers. We are getting an invalid response even outside of Setupbuilder. We use a cmd file to test it.

For Setupbuilder to use it, first you have to check the settings that are circled:

Next, you have to right-click on the token and "login" before Setupbuilder can talk to it:

    I hope that helps!

    Thanks for the suggestions

I've definately ticked the boxes to enable single logon, and I've rebooted my machine after, just to be on the safe side.

I've also logged on to the token too.

It certainly seems to be Setupbuilder specific, as I can codesign other using other products, I just get the Safenet dialogue box popup, enter my Token Password, and the file gets signed, just as you would hope.

Hopefully someone at Lindersoft can figure out what I'm doing wrong.

    Regards,

    Neil.

    Neil,

There was a problem with the Sectigo / Comodo timestamp server yesterday. We have some manual scripts for signing and they did not work either. Everything is working this morning including Setupbuilder.
