Thread: command line MP generation

  1. #1

    Default command line MP generation

    Hi Friedrich,

I know .... <BG> devkiss or something like that ....

But I am working in my app to implement the DMC sales and activation codes
    from SecWin and your MP's
As you know I found a way to include your MP in the secwin code xml files
and get all registered at once (saves time and actions that one)

I am now trying to ease my life

Today after a sale is done I have to :
    1. Open email received and Copy email adress
    2. Open SB and open generate MP and paste email to generate Plan (I have in
memory the settings as otherwise more copy-pasting)
    3. Open my app clients record and paste MP in his record
    4. Open secwin part of my app and create a client record from data in email
    5. paste your MP in secwin client form
    6. copy from email received email adress and paste it in cleint form
    7. close client secwin and open registrations secwin in my app and create a
new registration and paste the in memory MP or email depending on order
    8. open again the email received to copy the email address (lost while
    copy-pasting the MP)
    9. paste the email address in registration form
    10. generate the secwin code xml file
    11. open in my app the invoices and click on email print and send to send an
email with only the invoice attached (adding by hand that another email
    etc...)
    12. open again the email received and copy the email address and send an
outlook email to the client and select include the xml file....

    .......

So or I stop selleing and save time <VBG> or I automatise all this, which is
what I am doing right now

I would need to know if you can come up with ANY way to get an MP generated
silently and savec in an ini file from command line ?
sending the required data of pwd and dates etc ... and simply to write the
result code in an ini file which then can easily be read by any Clarion code

    Please Sir ?

    Merci

    I forgot comparing :

    1. Open email sale confirmation and say hey a new sale
    2. Open my app and get the order treated from site

    Point.

Easy for me in code to create a new secwin form with email retreived from
    site
Easy to open an ini file and retreive the MP code and add it to the client
record in my app and in secwin clients
Easy to change my htm file used as basic emailing and to add the relevant
    text
Easy to attach the generated xml to my email sent to client
    etc ......

Hope Charles is not here to read your "devkiss". He is completely
overworked - I hope you know that he has a gun!? <g>

I am sure you meant "RegKISS" ;-)

Bob come on now ! <VBG>

    Really ?

He also has a "tub" .... but doubt these hot days he can enjoy it as much as
    he would like....

I am talking of command line parameters reserved to a dev computer licenced
machine not an external dll ....
MUCH easier to read an ini file from clarion than to call a dll no ?

Both is no problem with Clarion

We'll make the command line tool available soon (I'll provide more
information on how to register for it later next week). The tool will be
free of charge and only requires a current SetupBuilder subscription plan.
