Web Update Problem

Sometimes, not every time, this happens when my application checks for
updates.

The application simply hangs and has to be killed in Task manager.
Minimising the application does not reveal the webupdate client running in
the background. Only once the application has been killed does the webupdate
client reveal itself.

Has anyone encountered this before?

Because no one seems to have this encountered before, I think it's something
in your application (threading issue, endless loop, etc.).
